Dear Prospective Student: Thank you for your interest in the Vocational Nursing Program at Clarendon College. This website has been developed to provide you with information necessary to make a decision about your educational future. It is our hope that Clarendon College will be your choice. The faculty and staff of the Vocational Nursing Program are dedicated to providing you with the knowledge, skills, and professional ethics that will serve as a foundation as you pursue a career in nursing. Our goal for you as a student is to graduate with the knowledge base to pass the licensing exam, obtain / enhance your communication skills with fellow staff, patients, patient families, and employers, and polish your professionalism and enhance your employability. This twelve month program includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that focuses on the application of knowledge and critical thinking in providing patient care. We have partnerships in the clinical arena that participate in your skills practice and provide excellent hands-on experience at their facilities. You will be given the opportunity to find your niche in the medical community with experiences in acute care, long-term care, Dr offices, women’s health, pediatrics, obstetrics and newborn care, mental health, and geriatrics.
