ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABLE  POSITION

 

POSITION:                             VOCATIONAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR

 

POSITION AVAILABLE:      Immediately

           

QUALIFICATIONS:                           Hold at least a high school diploma and be a registered nurse currently licensed in Texas.  Associate Degree in Nursing or a diploma RN required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.  Prior teaching experience is a plus.  In addition, a minimum of three years nursing experience is required.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                        Teach the classroom, laboratory, and clinical aspects of the vocational nursing curriculum as prescribed by the State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners and Clarendon College.  Travel as necessary to and from clinical facilities.  Counsel with students concerning academic and personal development. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.  The instructor is responsible for the success of the teaching/ learning process within the classroom and at the clinical site.  The instructor is supervised by the program director and the division director and has opportunity to influence institutional policy and practice through regular committee assignments.

 

SALARY:                                Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

 

CLARENDON COLLEGE:    Clarendon College, chartered in 1898, is a comprehensive, two-year community college located in Clarendon, Tx approximately 60 miles southeast of Amarillo on US Highway 287.
