The Office Technology Certificate Program is a 9-month concentrated program designed to provide the student with specialized classroom instruction in Office Technology.  The program prepares students to enter the job market with proficiency in the areas of Office Technology skills required for entry-level positions as office assistants.

 

In the world of work, employees are often called upon to assume administrative duties, as well as, handle budgets, financial accounts and computer data.  This certificate gives students the high-tech skills and confidence they need to succeed to enter or re-enter the job market.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted into the Certificate Program, applicants must:

1.       Have a High School or GED Certificate.

2.       Interview with Program director.

3.       TASP EXEMPT--(test not required.)

 

 

Students should apply for financial aid, as grants and/or scholarship(s) are available which can be applied to program costs.  Application for financial aid should be made at least six (6) weeks prior to the beginning of classes.

 

Free job placement is available through the college when  openings occur, but job placement is not guaranteed.  The primary objective of the program is to provide professional preparation for a person intending to occupy a secretarial/ administrative position.
